Pammaw
Griff had a visit from Pammaw (Grandma Pam) this week. She came 5 hours all the way down from Clear Lake. We had a really nice visit, with a walk downtown, a visit to Annie Glass, and a stop for some really yummy tacos at the Palomar Taco Bar. Then we went to pick up Darrell after school, with a detour to look at the Pacific Ocean, and had a nice visit at the house. Thanks for coming, Mom!
Griff is working hard on grasping things, but it is still mainly random swiping while he concentrates hard on the object with the occasional finger-wrapping-around something. But he has perfected his hair grasping while I am holding him over my shoulder...I knew it would happen eventually. I am glad I removed my earrings some time ago. Griff is really excited about the prospect of standing and loves to practice at every opportunity. But he has one foot that bends in so that he stands on the side of his right foot. I suspect it is just that his muscles and tendons are tight on the inside of that calf from his position in utero and we haven't noticed until be started trying to stand. Anyhow, we will check in with his pediatrician at his next appt. Excitingly, Griff had his first laughs on Sunday, while we were visiting Great Grandpa Arnold and Felicia. He gave a distinct "heh heh" at his reflection in the mirror and another when Darrell was blowing at him. He hasn't done it again today, but we expect he will be ready with peals of laughter before we know it!
