Gifts
Griff's first birthday was celebrated over several days, in small, special doses, filled with lots of hugs and kisses, a party, and some special gifts. And he, in turn, has had lots of firsts around his first birthday, beginning to understand much more language, starting to stand, cruise, and take his first tentative steps, making many more fun noises, and really starting to manipulate his physical world. I really do feel so privileged to be a part of his world and to get to introduce him to so much! He is such a little explorer and so much fun to explore with.

We went to Great Grandpa Arnold's house to celebrate Grammy Pam's, Grandpa Big's, and Griff's birthdays and Father's Day. Griff seemed to enjoy himself.

Finally we held his official birthday party at a park with friends and some family! It was a gorgeous day and everyone seemed to have a great time!

Time for cupcakes...he wasn't quite sure what to make of it all at first, even though he had a trial run at Great Grandpa's house a week before.
But he seemed to get the hang of it pretty quickly and demolished 3 of them before we knew it!
