Father's Day
Today we took the day off of everything and celebrated Father's Day. It was just such a nice day. Darrell started out the day with an early morning run and Griff and I snuck out to pick up a super-yummy and hearty breakfast to surprise Darrell. We returned with food in hand and a Father's Day gift, matching owl beanies I knit for the two of them. After breakfast, we all took a nice, long nap and then we headed out for a hike in Big Basin, with a stop for lunch on the way. It was a really beautiful hike and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The azaleas were in bloom and smelled sweet as we walked along the river in the redwood forest. And we even found some kind of orchid that we didn't recognize (Katie, Nina, April, or anyone else know it?) We finished our day playing with Griff, indulging him in his current favorite pastime, pushing stuff that rolls. Thanks, Darrell, for being such a supportive, patient, wonderful father to our little munchkin. I couldn't ask for a better person to share this journey with.

I have no idea, but that plant is gorgeous! If you find out, please let me know! Father's Day sounded wonderful for you guys!
