The Adventures of Little Griff

Griff is beginning to develop new relationships, and it is exciting. I was putting Griff in the car yesterday and as soon as we sat down in the back seat, Griff began to cry. This is not unusual. He is really not fond of his car seat, and often ends up in it with his face beet red and with those cries where half the cry is silent because he is screaming so hard and you can't pull over because you are in the middle of traffic but you feel like you have betrayed him in some awful way. We relish car rides where he is content and falls asleep. But he is not a "put him in the car and drive him around to soothe him" kind of baby. I tried all of the usual things we do to settle him down, but no luck. Then I tried to blow at him (he loves the blow drier), which distracted him from crying and then I made Puffy the Panda "talk." I though he might be a little too young for this, but it worked like a charm. He stared trandfixedly at Puffy. And then I quickly climbed into the front and started driving. But when I started hearing cooing sounds coming from the back of the car, I had to stop. I grabbed the camera, and there was Griff grinning and cooing at his Little Bug.
