3 Months!
Holy Moly! I can't believe it has been 3 months already. It is really crazy how fast it has gone.
They say that the first three months are the "fourth trimester," that babies are still like fetuses, needing a lot of help and not really quite ready to be out in the world yet. While Griff has had a bit of a rough time in some regards, mostly, it seems he is enjoying the "outside" world. He loves to be outside and look at the trees. He loves to be held and see faces and be talked to. And he even seems to like having his belly tickled. He is really enjoying being held so he can practice standing and he even likes to be in a sitting position sometimes, too, now. And more and more he likes to face the outside world when he is carried.
Griff is also starting to reach out to things and grasp with a little more than just randomness now. Here are a series of photos and video from yesterday in his stroller. He reached out to his little bug and then grabbed the rings, ending up with one of his hands in a loop. Okay, you don't need a blow-by-blow of how he is grabbing. You can see for yourself in the photos and video. He is also putting his hand in his mouth a lot more and likes to chew on my knuckle and anything else we put in his mouth. I guess we will have to start keeping things up off the floor soon. Happy birthday, Griff!
