G'Auntie G
Back in July, Hillcah's father, Ras, came to visit, along with his sister and nephew. So Ras is Griff's Great Uncle. Hillcah's mom came for a visit over the holidays, and we got to see her over a few days when we returned from Griff's Holiday Adventures. We had met three years ago when she came to visit while Angie was pregnant, and we were anxious to spend some time with her again. Gloria, or Grandma G as Steely calls her, is probably one of the sweetest, most calm people I have met. She is a delight to spend time with. And Griff was taken with his Great Auntie G from the start. It helps that she loves babies.
On one day we went for a walk with G'Auntie G and Hillcah, a short walk Hillcah promised us. It ended up being a rather long, and really nice walk down to the ocean and winding through neighborhoods. Gloria took Griff in the stroller and he was as happy as a clam for the entire walk while the three of us had good conversations; usually Griff starts fussing about midway through the walk and we have to put him in the carrier for the rest of the way. Not with G'Auntie G.
