The Adventures of Little Griff

It has been three years since Darrell and I married. I have prided myself in doing or making something special for our anniversaries, until this year. I remembered it up until the day, but I just didn't have oomph to think of planning or making or even purchasing something. And then there is Darrell, so kind and thoughtful and I am so lucky to have married him. He planned a sweet picnic at Wilder Ranch, with tamales (this is what we had at our wedding) and chocolate and blankets and a sweet little baby. It was so enjoyable and sweet. We laid on the grass in the dappled shade of a large walnut tree, reread the advice that Michelle and Jay, Susan and Stiney, Kerry and Rick, and Patty and Dennis (via Neil and Mario) gave us during our wedding, enjoyed the tamales and chocolate, and even captured a smile from Griff (they are still rare and fleeting, but he is starting to smile more often). It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you, my love!
