One Lucky Mother!
I am one lucky gal. For so many reasons. But today, I felt very, very lucky for my family. I had so many sweet Mother's Day wishes. And I woke up to gifts from my husband, a custom-painted water bottle (I wondered why he wasn't in bed in the middle of the night), a very cute customized book from Griff titled "Griff Loves Mommy's Hugs," and a giftcard for GlobalGiving (I donated to a program that provides reading and libraries for girls in Guatemala since it reminds me of one of my favorite things to do with Griff). And Darrell made an incredible breakfast. And, I got to go back to sleep for a few hours since it had been a tough night with our teething baby.
I woke up to hear Angie and Steely playing in the yard. Griff was super excited to play with his cousin. We took off up the coast to Wilder Ranch State Park and had a blast! There was the best, huge climbable tree there and little caves carved into bushes that everyone played in.
The Park put out some soap for bubbles and Steely tried his hand at making huge bubbles.
Griff couldn't take his eyes off his big cousin!
This video goes a long way to demonstrate why Darrell is such a wonderful father and uncle. Note his method of motivating the horse in the final few seconds. I love that guy so much!
