Me And My Shadow
The other day Griff and I went for a little walk down the street and I noticed him looking at the ground. I soon realized that he was looking at our shadows that were moving with us as we walked, disappearing and reappearing as we walked past trees. He notices his shadow every time Darrell or I carry him when we are walking outside now.
You might also notice the pic below, with Griff and I out for a walk (and nursing stop) along West Cliff in the afternoon. I should be in the lab, running samples or being otherwise productive on my dissertation. But an odd thing happened. I have been great at producing milk for Griff, so great that I thought I might have been having an overproduction problem that might have been giving him those stomach pains. So I changed the length of my nursing times on each side to decrease the production a bit and up the amount of rich hind milk he is getting. Well it seems to have been quite effective as I haven't had enough extra milk to be able to leave Griff with his dad for very long in the evening. So, I am going back to my old ways and trying to up production again. Oh my gosh, I sound like I am talking about one of my dairy cattle....
