Palo Alto Junior Museum

We recently discovered the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo, a wonderful stop for tiring out munchkins before visiting certain Great Grandparents living in Palo Alto. We have visited twice now and Griff has been super enthusiastic each time. There are physics type activities to explore inside, but once you walk through to the back, you are outside in the zoo are. There is an aquarium tank, a smallish but nice area for the two rescue bobcats, an aviary with a peacock and a few other birds, an area for the rescue raccoon, displays with bats, ferrets, rats, various lizards and snakes, bunnies, and a pond with a goose and some turtles. But by far, Griff's favorite things about the zoo are the statues of the turtle and frogs, and the bridge over the pond. He loves climbing on the decrepit frog statues, and, as you can see below, feeding them ivy leaves. And he just can't run over the bridge enough times. You would think he would be interested in the live animals, but no, the statues and the bridge hold his imagination. I love that he continues to surprise us every day.
